WHERE MEMORIES MEET

Very occasionally being a girlfriend has its perks. For example: When your beau wants to plan a mother's day treat but needs a human guinea pig. Pick me!

'Where Memories Meet' is a sweet little independently run tea room/antiques shop in Wateringbury. Sadly for Sam they were fully booked on Mother's Day-- luckily for me, they had a few slots free on the saturday so we went down to give it a test run!

We opted for their Afternoon Tea and had were seated on a cosy table for two by the window.

The first thing I will say is this: Make sure you go on an empty stomach.

The miniature scones were warm and moreish, but after diving into them headfirst I already began to realise I was too stuffed for all the food in front of us.

There were finger sandwiches, mini Victoria Sponge cakes, strawberry macaroons as well as strawberries and cream. More than enough for two!

Fortunately, the food all came with drinks and so we kept hydrated with a gorgeous Jasmine Green Pearl tea.

They have a strict 'no teabags' policy and so it arrived looking leafy and lovely. I'd go back just for another pot of that alone!

All in all, I had no problem being poked and prodded as a guinea pig and found it thoroughly enjoyable :) Fortunately for me, I've been invited back for the Mother's Day trip and so I get to have it all again! A definite treat if you're in the area.

Until next time,
Steph
