THE BEST OF VLOGMAS

I'm working in retail this Christmas. This means that a) I don't have time to go anywhere b) I am too tired to do anything. Because of this, I have turned to living vicariously through youtubers over the festive period, thanks to the miracle of Vlogmas.
I am a lover of vlogs at the best of times, but I thought I'd post a few of my faves for anyone late to the game, wanting to get involved.

FESTIVE BEAUTY PICTURE POST

Hello everyone! Today's post is a few beauty looks I've been really into for the festive season. It's the one time of year where you can go that little bit further out, and this post is a celebration of that. Berries in your hair! Red eyeshadow! Literally whatever.

NEW LOOK WISHLIST

Generally speaking, New Look is not a shop I often leave with full bags. Or any bags. There's always a kind of 'young' atmosphere in there which tends to be reflected in the quality of the clothes. That being said, recently there has been a fair few things that have caught my eye. As it gets closer to Christmas, I've really been drawn to metallic shades, bright festive reds and thin high-neck knits to keep out the cold. Here are a few of my favourites in no particular order (you may recognise the bag from my mini xmas wish list... it's just a good'un, what can I say).
Until next time,
Steph

TODAY'S LUSH UPDATE: THE WIZARD BUBBLE BAR
These days, the constant liking and reviewing of Lush products is as much a blogger cliché as food posts and sunsets on instagram. That being said, I do love Lush balm bombs and so I will not be stopped.
My latest venture was the limited edition (from Halloween, so probably all gone now) Wizard bubble bar. Visually, he looks a whole lot like the Lush Christmas Penguin I used recently except the obvious colour difference. Smell wise, it wasn't great and it didn't really have any fragrance at all. However, he was very bubbly and turned the water a nice fuchsia shade (much better than the taupe-y sludge of another recent purchase, ButterBear).
Overall, it was pretty good. If you're a Lush fan it's a good one to have a go with if you can get your hands on it, but still doesn't replace my all time fave, Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds.
Anyway, until next time, happy bathing!

SAVIOURS FOR DERMATITIS AND SENSITIVE SKIN SUFFERERS
The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye and Lip Makeup Remover / Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser / The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Balm / Aveeno Moisturing Cream
Hello everyone! This post is something a bit different for me but something I really wanted to share.
For the past few years I have had an absolute nightmare with topical dermatitis, particularly on my eyelids, and after a long time using prescription medicines and antibiotics and pretty much every treatment under the sun I have finally managed to nail down a few products to keep my skin issues at bay.

LONDON CALLING / CHRISTMAS AT LIBERTY, SELFRIDGES, AND WINTER WONDERLAND
Hello everyone! Recently I've been spending a bit of time in London and I have to say I've been loving the festive boom in the big smoke. I've been watching tons of Vlogmas videos recently (Essie Button, Lily Pebbles and the O.G. Tanya Burr being my faves) and so I'm definitely starting the feel the Christmas spirit setting in.

XMAS MINI WISH LIST
Forever 21 Bear Slippers £5 / Topshop Boots £45 / Matalan Dress £20 / New Look Handbag £24.99 / Charlotte Tilbury Fallen Angel Eyeshow Palette £45 / Debenhams Bear Onesie £22.75 / Topshop Nail Varnish £6 / Anthropologie Wildlife 2015 Calendar £20
I am often told that Christmas is not about the presents, and by all means I do agree. However, sometimes you just want to get people stuff to show you care and then they feel obliged to match you back (Sheldon famously ruminates on this pressing social issue).
It's for this reason that I have compiled a small list of things I might like to see under the tree. Aside from the usual loves (Lush, food, fuzzy socks and fancy pants) there have been a few things I've had my eye on, if not only to serve as replacements for things I already have (holey shoes and snaggy bag, I'm looking at you). Are some of these things a bit on the luxe side? Yes. Do you get what you never ask for? No. I'll leave it at that.
Until next time,
Steph

DECEMBER THE FIRST
Most years Christmas runs the same in my house. Decorations won't go up until the middle of the month, advent calendars are usually forgotten despite best intentions and there's no whisper of a tree for weeks.
Right now, it's 6pm on the first of December and a) I already have an advent calendar b) the decorations are up, and c) there is a marvellously dressed tree sat next to me.
A Christmas of firsts, it seems.
Until next time,
Steph
